I am pleased to announce that the Winter Semester Co-op students have arrived in the Lab, Sean and Judy joined the lab at the start of the semester and are already hard at work in the greenhouse and in the lab. They are studying the expansion of a family of transcription factors in cereal genomes. Under MinJeong's lead, they have been planting seeds (and trees). They've been working with me to learn R and started doing some bioinformatic analyses. Their terms are funded in part by generous grants from ECO Canada's Co-op Program. I look forward to seing what they get done this semester.
